Understanding Reflex (Phasic) Training

Phasic training focuses on muscles that are primarily responsible for movement (phasic muscles). These muscles are designed for powerful, explosive movements.

Characteristics of Phasic Training:

  • Targets fast-twitch (Type II) muscle fibers, responsible for explosive strength and speed.

  • Requires strength and power-based training to maintain function.

  • Exercises involve high-intensity, high velocity, or power-focused movements.
